History of Indore Rajwada:

Indore Rajwada was built in 1747 A.D. by the originator of the Holkar Dynasty, Malhar Rao Holkar. The Rajwada of Indore has been burnt three times in history. The lower three floors of the royal residence are comprised of stone, while the high levels are made of wood. This sort of material utilized for development made the structure truly defenceless against demolition by fire. It was determined to fire without precedent for 1801 by the administrator Sarjerao Ghadge of the Sindhiya Dynasty.

Recreation occurred somewhere in the range of 1818 and 1826, and five stories were remade during this time. In 1834, a subsequent fire occurred, and the highest floor was wrecked. The last fire, which broke out in 1984, had made the most extreme demolition of the structure and the rear of the castle was devastated altogether. The sanctuary of Malhari Martand, which is situated inside the royal residence, was likewise completely destroyed during the riots of 1984.
